Funding from the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Chicago, recently enabled the Museum to develop a new school Learning Lab entitled "Wind Energy in Action," which brings the fun and science of the AirWorks for Kids exhibit into area elementary schools. Based on research funded by the National Science Foundation, AirWorks has been fascinating children in the Museum since its debut in September of 1999. Whimsical exhibit stations let children play with moving air to build their own scientific theories about how "air -- works!"
