JCCC渉外PR委員会では、Alliance for the Great Lakes（シカゴ市）が主催するミシガン湖岸清掃プロジェクトに参加しボランティア活動を実施いたします。

　毎年約15,000人のボランティアがミシガン湖の美観維持、環境保護のためにビーチの清掃活動に参加しています。JCCCは1994年から毎年この清掃活動に参加しており、参加団体の中でも最も参加者数の多い団体の一つとして高い評価を得ております。今年が30回目の参加となり、「30年の歩み、ミシガン湖とともに未来につなごう」のスローガンのもと、皆様のお力をお借りして、末永く本地域貢献活動を継続できればと願っております。例年ご参加いただいている方、そして今年初参加となる方もあわせて、多数の皆様のご参加をお待ちしております。会員・非会員問わず大歓迎です！

～再利用可能な軍手・バケツ・紙ごみ袋など、清掃用具ご持参のご協力をお願いします！～

イベント主催者Alliance for the Great Lakesからのビニールのゴミ袋、ゴム手袋の支給はございません。毎年約18トンのゴミを回収し、そのゴミの90%程がビニール・プラスチック類で占められることから、再利用可能なものを使用するよう奨励されております。ご参加の際はハンドル付の紙袋またはバケツ、軍手、トング等をご持参いただきますようご協力お願いいたします。

The Japanese Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Chicago (“JCCC”) will once again participate in the Alliance for the Great Lakes’ “September Adopt-a-Beach” program. A cleanup of the Lake Michigan shoreline draws many volunteers to remove trash and collect valuable data throughout the Great Lakes region. This year will be our 30th participation, and we hope to continue this community contribution activity for many years to come with your help. Please join us for the 2024 “JCCC Beach Sweep” as a volunteer!

PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN CLEANING TOOLS!!

90% of the litter picked up by Adopt-a-Beach volunteers every year is plastic. With that in mind, the Alliance is working to reduce our plastic use. We encourage you to join us in this effort by considering reusable products for your cleanups, like 5-gallon buckets and gardening gloves. Thank you!!!
