The Japanese Program of the Department of Global Languages and Cultures at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh offers the Major in Japanese Studies and Minor in Japanese Language and Culture. The program also provides students with opportunities to study abroad in Japan. The Japanese courses at UWO help students acquire the necessary linguistic skills to communicate in Japanese and develop a cultural awareness necessary to ensure smooth communication. All courses are primarily taught in Japanese. Many students in the program are interested in working opportunities at Japan-related companies and organizations.
